With snow on Tuesday and again on Thanksgiving day, we had a white Thanksgiving. The weatherman said we had six inches in Argyle, this seemed a bit on the high side, but there was plenty of snow for sledding and snowballs. We all had a lot of fun, and we had a great thanksgiving feast. Late in the afternoon, at sunset, a snowsquall kicked up, and the whole world turned pink. Lizzie is growing independent, helped a lot by an attentive cousin. Lindsey, and the whole crew, are growing quickly, and they all seemed to really enjoy each other's company. A lot of time was spent creating a paper gown for princess Lizzie - they have a future in fashion.
The flight was great, and Zoe was very excited, but they put us in a holding pattern over New Jersey, and as we spun around Zoe’s state of mind and health started to decline. When we landed, she was asleep but we had to run to make our connection in a different terminal, which meant a train and lots of moving sidewalks. Her eyes were full of tears as we rushed through the airport, and she received a lot of sympathy. Luckily our second flight had been delayed as well, we made it just as the door was shutting. She napped through the flight and was awake to see her grandparents when we arrived. Today we went to DI (to get some replacement clothes, our luggage did not make it. Oh allright, I bought three pairs of shoes – but they were cool!) and then we went to the Dinosaur museum at BYU, they had a lot to see, and lots of gems and minerals. Zoe thought it was exciting. Elena took us out to lunch – a cool brazilian restaurant, and it was very tasty. Zoe and I went rock hunting in the afternoon, we were foiled though, the gate to the birdseye marble was locked and the sun was going down as we looked for leaf fossils – Zoe didn’t care though, she had a great time, and so did I.
